Railways' Oxygen Express deliver 7,115 tonne of LMO

TOG NEWS SERVICE, NEW DELHI, MAY 14, 2021: INDIAN Railways has delivered nearly 7,115 tonne of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in more than 444 tankers to various States across the country, the national transporter said on Thursday.

" One hundred and fifteen (115) Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various states ," said an official statement. On Wednesday, Oxygen Expresses delivered nearly 800 tonne of LMO.

Till now, around 407 tonne of LMO has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 1,960 tonne in Uttar Pradesh, 361 tonne in Madhya Pradesh, 1,135 tonne in Haryana , 188 tonne in Telangana, 72 tonne in Rajasthan, 120 tonne in Karnataka and more than 2,748 tonne in Delhi.

The National Capital Region (NCR) has received more than 3,900 tonne of LMO for further distribution.

Tamil Nadu is set to receive its first oxygen delivery with 80 tonne of LMO arriving from West Bengal's Durgapur.
