TOG NEWS SERVICE, NEW DELHI, APR 09, 2021: THE Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on Friday adopted 295 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) of Niti Aayog's flagship Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) in a step towards inculcating scientific research and innovation culture among students.

The tie-up will provide an opportunity to ATL's young innovators to be mentored by CSIR's top researchers and scientists. A series of webinars for students on various topics related to scientific and technological concepts, ideas or societal issues will also be organised.

AIM's Mission Director Mr R Ramanan said the collaboration will add impetus to the opportunities provided by ATLs to school students by providing access to the latest technologies and scientific research through CSIR's 36 labs.

AIM also has the opportunity to leverage CSIR's capacity by becoming a partner in itsvirtual lab initiative under the 'JIGAYSA 2.0' programme.
